French Friends and Fourth Grade

Big Cole started fourth grade at Scales Elementary yesterday and is thrilled that some of his favorite buddies have also landed in Mrs. Thomson's Class.  He thinks she is going to be his best teacher yet and his enthusiasm and excitement is such a bright way to start off the school year!

Cooper, Ivy and I also had a great day as we enjoyed an impromptu sushi lunch with a friend of Rick's from LA.  Sarah is from France and is a business student at Santa Monica College.  So, before school kicks off again, she is enjoying a tour of the country and made a pit stop in Music City USA.  Sarah is an absolute doll and the kids adored her (and the many games on her iPhone).

 
Her trip has been amazing and we wish her safe travels as she heads off to Lynchburg (the home of Jack Daniel's) and then toward the great city of New Orleans.
