You don't know good until...

...you've had Jason McAfee's stuffed banana peppers.
Say WHAT?  Pure goodness!

I just had to do a mid-meal blog post about Jason's amazing stuffed hot peppers.  Sausage, onion, cream cheese...some other stuff he threw in...and a little magic and this is what he served me!

Topped it on a plate with raw sweet onion.

Got peppers?

Yesterday was another successful and fun day for the veggie stand.  The weather was yucky so we were in and out with thunder and lightning.  But, it was fun to share the beautiful vegetables with our friends and neighbors.

okra, serrano peppers, jalapeno peppers, hot banana peppers

tomatoes, habanero peppers, cowhorn peppers (?), green bell peppers, mild banana peppers

green bell peppers & mild banana peppers

I believe these are cowhorn peppers but I'm not positive

Carse and Aimee shopped and visited with us!

High school friend, Sarah Huddleston MacIntyre stopped by with her three beautiful kids

Sarah's son, George, loves okra

And then the Brentwood Po-Po came by...

...but thankfully it was our buddy, Rob Thomas!

Garden giving!

Yesterday morning was our biggest harvest yet and the kids planned to prepare for their veggie stand by beginning the "picking" at 7am.  In order to avoid "veggie stand burnout," we decided to open the stand for only 2 hours (9a-11a).  While the kids did the hunt and gather, I headed off to Krispy Kreme for their "breakfast."

The corn came from Rutherford County - Peaches 'n Cream!  Yum Yum!

Our sweet neighbors Dot and Nina got first pick!

They were so excited to hear how the boys had tilled, planted and picked the vegetables!

Amazing friend, Monya, came from Mt. Juliet with her twins and niece!  Thanks, Monya!

More neighbors, the Shepherds, stopped by.

Balancing out the "healthy" with some donuts for our customers!

The kids had a great time and we all enjoyed meeting more of our new neighbors!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
